This role exists to:

  • Rapidly increase the number of physical locations stocking and selling the brand's hair and scalp care range
  • Convert first time outlet visits into starter pack wholesale orders
  • Build enough product presence and sell through momentum that outlets reorder independently
  • Take over from the founder from being the only person in the field driving new account acquisition
  • Create a replicable, documented approach to wholesale onboarding that the company can scale

RESPONSIBILITIES BY PILLAR

PILLAR 1: Territory Prospecting & Route Planning

  • Map out all target outlet types in the assigned territory: salons, beauty supply stores, pharmacies, spas, barbing lounges, cosmetic retailers, local mini distributors
  • Build and maintain a live territory list (Google Sheet or CRM) of all identified outlets with address, contact name, visit status, and outcome
  • Plan efficient daily routes to maximise outlet visits per day without burning unnecessary transport cost
  • Identify cluster zones i.e streets, markets, or estates with high outlet density and prioritise penetration of these areas first
  • Continuously scout new outlets through local knowledge, referrals, and physical observation

PILLAR 2: Face to Face Selling & Starter Pack Conversion

  • Walk in, introduce the brand, and give a sharp, confident product pitch tailored to the outlet type (what a salon owner needs to hear is different from what a pharmacist needs to hear)
  • Demonstrate key products physically scalp condition, texture, scent, usage not just describe them
  • Handle price objections, minimum order concerns, and "I'll think about it" responses with practiced, confident responses
  • Close starter pack wholesale orders on the first or second visit wherever possible
  • Leave behind product samples, brand materials, or a price list after every visit even if they don't buy today
  • Lock in Key Person Contact details
  • Follow up every non converting visit within 5–7 days with a phone call or return visit where necessary

PILLAR 3: Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Report daily on outlets visited, outcome (converted / follow up / rejected), and key objections encountered
  • Track competitor pricing, promotional activity, and product placement at outlet level
