Purpose of the RoleThe Technology Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing the technologies that support the company’s asset financing operations. This includes tracking devices, security systems, credit - processing tools, loan repayment technologies, and client / employee digital platforms. The Technology Manager ensures that the company remains technologically advanced, operationally efficient, and compliant with industry best practices. The role involves researching high - quality suppliers globally, managing technology partnerships, and recommending innovative solutions that enhance the company’s overall performance.Key Responsibilities1. Technology & Supplier Research (Tracking and Security Technologies) Conduct ongoing research to identify professional, reliable, and high - quality suppliers of:o Vehicle tracking technologyo Tracking devices and GPS unitso Asset security - related hardware and softwareo Any telematics or IoT (Internet of Things) technologies used in asset finance Evaluate supplier products for performance, durability, reliability, and compatibility withcompany operations. Perform comparative analysis, including cost - benefit reviews, industry benchmarks, andtechnological longevity. Present well - structured recommendations to senior management for supplier selection.2. Supplier Relationship Management Act as the primary point of contact for all technology - related suppliers and third - party partners. Build and maintain strong professional relationships with suppliers to ensure seamlesscommunication and timely support. Oversee Service - Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure all suppliers meet contractual obligations. Coordinate with internal teams (Credit, Telecoms, Insurance, Tracking, Collections, Asset Recovery,etc.) to ensure technology solutions perform as required. Manage supplier onboarding, renewal negotiations, performance evaluations, and potentialtransitions to new vendors.3. Technology Innovation & Continuous Improvement Stay up to date with the latest developments in technology relevant to vehicle asset financing,including:o Tracking / telematics systemso Credit assessment and digital KYC technologieso Loan repayment and digital payments platformso Collections and portfolio management systemso CRM systems and client engagement toolso Mobile apps for clients and employeeso AI - driven analytics, automation, and risk assessment toolso Cybersecurity solutionso Any emerging fintech or mobility technologies that could benefit the company Conduct periodic technology audits to evaluate current tools, identify gaps, and proposeenhancements. Advise management on which new technologies to adopt, upgrade, or retire, ensuring the companyremains tech - driven and competitive. Oversee implementation of approved new technologies in collaboration with internal teams andexternal vendors. Ensure technology solutions align with the company’s long - term strategy, operational needs, andcustomer experience goals.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Quality and reliability of technology suppliers selected. Timely resolution of technology - related issues via supplier collaboration. Number and impact of new technology recommendations implemented. Improvements in operational efficiency through technology upgrades.3 Supplier performance against SLAs and company standards. Cost - effectiveness and ROI of technology investments. Adoption rate and effectiveness of new systems introduced. Contribution to keeping the company innovative and ahead of competitors.Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field(Master’s degree is an advantage). 3–7 years’ experience in technology management, vendor management, or IT procurement—preferably in financial services, telecommunications, or mobility industries. Strong understanding of tracking devices, IoT technologies, and digital platforms. Experience managing external vendors and negotiating contracts. Background in fintech, asset financing, telematics, or digital transformation is highly advantageous.Skills & Competencies Strong research and analytical skills. Excellent vendor and stakeholder management abilities. Excellent understanding of software, hardware, and digital platforms. Ability to evaluate technologies from technical, operational, and financial perspectives. Project management and implementation skills. Strong communication and reporting abilities. High attention to detail and problem - solving capability. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Strategic thinking with an innovation - driven mindset.Personal Attributes Pro - active and forward - thinking. Technologically curious and innovation oriented. Ethical, reliable, and transparent in decision - making. Strong negotiation and relationship - building skills. Highly organised and process driven.
