Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Summary
The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. This role plays a key part in month-end close, financial analysis, and mentoring junior accounting staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and respond to audit requests.
- Review and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Supervise and mentor junior accountants or accounting staff.
- Support tax preparation, filings, and compliance (as applicable).
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and management teams on financial matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred (or in progress).
- Experience with audits and regulatory compliance.
