The Program Assistant will play a central role in coordinating, supervising, and supporting LPF's humanitarian field activities in Gusau LGA. Under the guidance of the Project Officer/Head of Programs, the role holder will:
- Supervise and guide field Volunteers.
- Support implementation of WASH, nutrition, health, and learning support activities in IDP camps and host communities.
- Ensure accurate, timely field reporting and documentation.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, camp officials, community leaders, and sector actors to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Contribute to behaviour change in hygiene, sanitation, safe water use, and nutrition practices.
Volunteer Supervision & Management
- Directly supervise and provide daily guidance to field Volunteers
- Plan and allocate weekly tasks to Field Volunteers, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Track volunteer attendance, performance, and reporting consistency.
- Conduct routine field visits to monitor activity quality and ensure adherence to LPF standards.
Activity Implementation Support
- Support daily monitoring of WASH, nutrition, health, and education interventions.
- Coordinate hygiene promotion activities and ensure alignment with community needs.
- Support monitoring of learning activities within camps and communities.
Reporting & Documentation
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly activity reports from Field Volunteers.
- Produce consolidated reports for the Project Officer.
- Support volunteers in data collection for donor reporting and proposal development.
- Maintain updated documentation of meetings, trainings, and field activities.
Community Engagement & Stakeholder Coordination
