As part of our expansion, we are seeking an experienced and highly organized Operations Manager to oversee daily activities at our Lagos hub and ensure seamless logistics operations.

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing hub operations, supervising operational teams, optimizing delivery performance, and ensuring service excellence. The role requires strong leadership, logistics expertise, and the ability to manage high-volume parcel operations efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Lagos hub including parcel sorting, dispatch, and last-mile delivery coordination.
  • Manage hub staff including supervisors, warehouse staff, riders, and dispatch personnel.
  • Ensure timely processing, dispatch, and delivery of shipments in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor operational KPIs such as delivery success rate, turnaround time, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain operational procedures and safety standards within the hub.
  • Coordinate linehaul arrivals and departures to ensure smooth inbound and outbound shipment flow.
  • Resolve operational issues, customer complaints, and delivery challenges quickly and effectively.
  • Manage hub capacity planning including manpower, vehicle utilization, and space optimization.
  • Prepare operational reports and performance dashboards for senior management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and security procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–7 years’ experience in logistics, courier, warehouse, or distribution operations.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability in fast-paced environments.
