Job description Our client, a prominent firm in the energy sector, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Systems for their operations in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti, NG. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and engineering of electrical power systems, including substations, transmission lines, and distribution networks.

- Oversee the procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Manage engineering project teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules for electrical engineering scopes.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical system issues.

- Conduct site inspections and assessments of existing power systems.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a specialization in power systems.
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of high-voltage electrical infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical design software.
- In-depth understanding of protection relays, switchgear, transformers, and other power system components.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A Master's degree with a specialization in Power Systems is highly desirable.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent professional registration is a significant advantage.
- Experience with renewable energy integration is a plus.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Ado-Ekiti and travel as required.
