Job Title: AccountantCompany: Yimei Nigeria Limited (Hospitality Industry)Location : Ikeja Employment Type: Full - TimeJob SummaryWe are seeking a detail - oriented and experienced Accountant with strong knowledge of hospitality finance operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting management in financial decision - making.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & ReportingPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Ensure accurate recording of all revenue, expenses, and operational transactions.Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts.Handle bank reconciliations and monitor bank transactions.Hospitality - Specific AccountingManage daily sales reports, POS reconciliation, room revenue, and guest billing.Oversee cost control for kitchen, housekeeping, bar, and other hospitality departments.Track daily occupancy, food and beverage cost percentages, and revenue performance metrics.Reconcile front office reports with accounting records.Accounts Payable & ReceivableProcess supplier invoices, verify payment requests, and maintain vendor records.Follow up on receivables and ensure timely posting of customer payments.Ensure proper documentation for all financial transactions.Payroll & CompliancePrepare monthly payroll and review staff deductions and allowances.Ensure compliance with tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT, pension, etc.).Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as required.Budgeting & Cost ControlAssist in budget preparation and financial planning.Monitor expenditures and compare with approved budgets.Recommend cost - saving measures and financial process improvements.RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3–5 years accounting experience (hospitality/hotel experience is an advantage).Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) is an added advantage.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.Experience with hospitality accounting systems (e.g., Oracle Hospitality, Opera PMS, Sage, QuickBooks).Excellent analytical and numerical skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Good communication and interpersonal skills.
