Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Shift Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) to manage all E&I operations at our Film plant facility in Ibadan. The role demands strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in managing shifts at complex electrical and instrumentation systems in a continuous process industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the shift end-to-end Electrical & Instrumentation operations for the Film plant.
• Ensure uninterrupted operation and maintenance of Blown Film, Printing, Slitting and Utility associated control systems.
• Oversee HT & LT power distribution systems, transformers, and electrical safety compliance.
• Manage instrumentation systems related to Blown film lines, extrusion, winding, and auxiliary equipment.
• Plan and execute preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
• Participate in energy optimisation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, electrical safety, and regulatory norms.
• Work with E&I team to enhance technical competency and productivity.
• Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 6+ years of experience in an industrial E&I department, preferably in a film manufacturing plant.

Technical Expertise

Hands-on experience in Instrumentation, HT & LT electrical systems, power distribution, and substations. Familiarity with FILM-specific machinery, automation, and process instrumentation. Sound understanding of energy management, electrical safety standards, and preventive maintenance systems.
