Job Description
Our Sales teams are the face of our company. They forge partnerships and build new client relationships. They find the solutions that help our customers accelerate their business. The Director, Merchant Services & Acquiring, is a key member of the West Africa leadership team, responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy for Merchant Services & Acquiring in Nigeria and Ghana. This role will lead a team of sales professionals to drive revenue growth, market share, and customer acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for Merchant Services & Acquiring in Nigeria and Ghana.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with key merchants, acquirers, and partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and operations, to drive business growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within the payments, financial services, or FinTech industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including merchant services, acquiring, and payment processing.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
