Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer / Structural Engineer with strong technical expertise in bridge design to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, analysis, and preparation of drawings and calculation notes for bridge projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structural and civil design of bridges in accordance with approved codes and standards.
• Prepare detailed bridge design calculations and calculation notes.
• Develop and review design drawings for bridge structures.
• Perform structural analysis and design checks to ensure safety and constructability.
• Collaborate with project engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated designs.
• Review and update designs based on site conditions and project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable design standards and regulations.
• Provide technical support during construction as required.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5–8 years proven experience in bridge design.
• Strong technical knowledge of bridge structures, materials, and design principles.
• Proficiency in at least one bridge design or structural analysis software (e.g. Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, MIDAS, SAP2000, LUSAS, or similar).
• Ability to prepare and interpret design calculations and technical drawings.
• Good understanding of relevant design codes and standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience working on highway or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with international and local bridge design standards.
